Gregg Fous began writing his blog in early 2001. At that time, he was marketing projects for residential and commercial developers. Blogging in 2001 was a relatively new phenomenon and Greg emailed his newsletter every Sunday morning and within two years had over 40,000 subscribers.
The format was pretty simple, he included personal anecdotes about something he learned and wanted to share. This anecdote often included people's names a humorous incident or an important life lesson for him. Then he would draw a line under that personal information and give information about projects he was looking to garner interest in, like new condo opportunities or housing developments. He quickly found that the newsletters that he wrote that were more personal and talked about personal experiences, friends, and acquaintances, and books he was reading we're highly read while the actual marketing pieces drew less attention.
He gradually shifted his writing away from marketing and found that sharing knowledge was the most successful way to gain followers and interest in his projects. Gregg now splits his time between Fort Myers, FL and Murphy NC where he bought a vacation home five years ago.
Gregg's had a long career (Born in 1953) starting at a as a manufacturer's Rep in Ohio and traveling the world. Gregg has a reputiation for having high passion and for immersing himself in his projects; whether it be marketing a breathable film for the diaper industry, consulting with fortune 100 companies, or acquiring land for single family homes, condo developments, or commercial buildings. His passion for sharing his knowledge and mentoring others keeps him busy. Gregg has been a real estate agent and broker in Florida for over 20 years. He owned two real estate franchises and built six offices in Florida with over 40 agents. He now spends time developing his own projects, consulting, mentoring, and working with short term rental buyers an sellers, and is devloping affordable housing.
He is available for consulitng, speaking to investment clubs and real estate groups and working alongside other realtors nationwide to serve his buyer and seller clients.
